Financing – Part 2

In our last blog, we touched upon financing and what it truly means to a homeowner looking to remodel or rebuild. Since then, we’ve discovered another source of “financing” – the City of Toronto.

The City of Toronto is the first in Canada to launch the Home Energy Loan Program (HELP). Through HELP, the City will provide low interest loans to homeowners who are interested in improving the energy and water efficiency of their home.

Below are the rates and terms offered until December 31, 2014:

The best part? The loan can be paid off at any time, without penalty!

This pilot program is first being made available to specific neighbourhoods. If the first three digits of your home’s postal code are listed below – the program can help you now:

M3N, M4E, M4L, M4M, M4J, M1N, M4C, M4K, M5A, M6P, M6S, M1M, M1E, M1C, M1L, M1K, M4B

If you don’t see the first three digits of your postal code, be patient! More neighbourhoods are expected to be added in the near future.
