Master Edge Homes is a proud supporter of various charities in our community. In addition to building and renovating homes, we strive to build and renovate people’s lives—and we believe giving back is an important part of that. Below are some of the amazing organizations that we collaborate with.
Yellow Brick House
Our team believes a home should be a place of peace and tranquility. For this reason, we are proud supporters of Yellow Brick House, a charity that provides shelter and counselling services for homeless and battered women and their children.
We were pleased to support another client who bravely volunteered to raise money for Easter Seals by propelling down an office tower—despite a fear of heights. Way to go!
Sick Kids is undergoing a 12-year renovation, and we are honoured to help as monthly donors. Although Sick Kids Hospital is not in our neighbourhood, we know many Markham residents who have been treated at this world-class facility in Toronto.
100+ Women Who Care Markham
When we were introduced to 100+ Women Who Care Markham, we realized this organization represented both our own values and the values of our clients. Their mission is to raise $10,000 every three months and distribute those funds to a charity of their choice. Inspired by this idea, we decided to match the donations made by our clients who are also members of 100+ Women Who Care Markham. Some of the charities they have supported include:
Noah’s Clubhouse strives to relieve some of the challenges associated with disabilities by providing financial assistance to families with children with special needs. The founder’s son, Noah, who has cerebral palsy, was the inspiration for its creation.
Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the largest and only all-Canadian wish-granting charity dedicated to Canadian children between the ages of 3 and 17 diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. For more than 30 years, they have worked tirelessly to grant heartfelt wishes to more than 25,000 children and their families.
MOBYSS is Ontario’s first mobile health clinic for youth ages 12 to 25, travelling across York Region and South Simcoe where it is challenging to access services due to travel, stigma, and other barriers. Their nurse practitioner, youth counsellor, and peer support specialist provide holistic and compassionate medical, sexual and mental healthcare for matters related to depression and anxiety, substance use, suicide risk, bullying, harm and risk reduction, LGBTQ issues and more.
Markham Food Bank works to alleviate food insecurity for Markham community members. The organization strives to create a welcoming environment of fairness and equality for everyone who walks through the doors.
